If the Master Sword is out of energy, the Trial cannot be accessed.
Link is able to use any of the Runes during the Trial, but he is not able to use any Champion abilities. Link begins the Trial with the same amount of HeartsStamina and temporary boosts that he had when entering, even with Hearts lost from damage or temporary Hearts.
The Trial of the Sword is divided into three sets of floors. Once a set is completed, it can be skipped during future attempts of the Trial; however, Link will begin empty handed when resumed and any item gathered during the challenge will be lost.
After completing all 54 floors of the Trial, the Master Sword awakens its true power, allowing it to stay in its powered-up state at all times. The Beginning Trials are the first 13 floors of the Trial of the Sword. The first 7 floors are forest themed, with each of them containing TreesRocks and grass. The sixth floor is the Trial of the Stone Talus. Floors 8 through 12 all contain water. The twelfth floor is the Trial of the Hinox. On the thirteenth and final floor of the Beginning Trials, Link finds himself in an Ancient Shrine themed room known as the Sword Monk's Shrine, and a mysterious voice tells him that he is now strong enough to wield more of the Master Sword's power.
The Middle Trials are the middle 17 floors of the Trial of the Sword. The first 4 floors are shrine-themed and feature a constant upward draft over a bottomless pit and scattered platforms. Floors 6 through 10 are in a dark forest setting, not unlike those of Thyphlo Ruins. The tenth floor is the Trial of the Hinox. Floor 11 is another resting stop with a Cooking Pot, two fairies, and three Treasure Chests, one of which contains a Hylian Tunic. Floors 12 through 16 are again shrine-themed, but exclusively feature Guardian Scouts.
On the seventeenth floor, Link returns to the Sword Monk's Shrine, where the Master Sword rests on a different pedestal that is now connected to the previous pedestal by an added walkway. The Final Trials are the final 24 floors of the Trial of the Sword. The first 5 floors are set in a jungle during a thunderstorm and feature Stal enemies. The fifth floor is the Trial of the Stalnox. Floors 6 through 11 are volcano-themed, complete with burning temperatures. The eleventh floor is the Trial of the Igneo Talus.
Floors 13 through 17 are ice-themed, with appropriate temperatures.Keycloak bearer only client
The sixteenth floor is the Trial of the Frost Talus. The eighteenth floor is another resting spot with a Cooking Pot, three Fairies and three Treasure Chests.
Floors 19 through 23 are set in ruins and feature various Guardians. On the twenty-fourth floor, Link returns to the Sword Monk's Shrine. This time, the pathways lead a final pedestal with the Master Sword, surrounded by the seven unnamed Monks who prepared the Trial of the Sword and now deem Link worthy of the fully awakened Master Sword.
They then disappear, having fulfilled their duty, leaving Link to pull out the now fully awakened Master Sword. Unlike the other floors, three of the floors contain Animals that do not need to be defeated before progressing to the next floor.
Specifically, there are Stalhorses on the fourth floor and regular Horses on the twentieth, twenty-second, and twenty-third floors.Take note of these tips and finish the fight properly. This means you can exit the trials and head back to the real world before starting.
Using food that gets you yellow hearts and increases your attack, defense or stealth will carry over into the trials. This means foods like the heart mushroom skewer or hearty steamed meat, which give you hearts beyond your regular heart containers, will provide you with extra defense in the trials.
Other edibles like the mighty crab risotto or tough steamed meat grant you attack and defense bonuses you can bring with you to battle in the final trials.
How do you scan the room for items, you ask? The answer lies within your Sheikah Slate. The obvious answer is to use magnesis or stasis to scan the room for objects. Along with metal crates and metal weapons that have sunken underwater, both abilities can be used to see nearby chests.
Stasis, in the above picture, shows a chest far off in the distance. Taking things a step further, you can set your Sheikah Slate to scan for chests. Collect wood from trees every chance you get because they can be cooked into rock-hard food. The food heals a quarter of a heart, which is not much but is better than nothing. This Trial of the Sword walkthrough will guide you through each of the levels, including what to expect, the items you can salvage, and how to survive until the end.
There are three rounds, one consisting of 12 Beginning Trials, 16 Middle Trials, and 23 Final Trials -- you can only save after completing each round. If you die halfway through a round, you start at the beginning with nothing.
Trial of the Sword
Detailed walkthroughs for how to survive each are below. There are 51 total Levels in the Trial of the Sword including 6 Rest Areas and 45 Challenge Roomseach with its own varied layout, enemiesand traps. If Link survives until the end, the Sword Sage will enhance the Master Sword with the power to stay fully charged -- dealing 60 damage -- at all times, instead of just in the presence of Calamity and corrupted Guardians.
This means you can only take on the trial when you have successfully found and obtained the Master Sword. Once the Master Sword has been obtained, you can revisit the pedestal to place the Master Sword back in to trigger the Trial.
You will not be able to use the weapon - or any other weapon or armor you possess. Link 's state from when he places the Master Sword will carry over into the trials. So if you're out of hearts, you'll be out of hearts at the beginning of the trials.
So be sure to:. Below you will find a detailed layout of each of the trial levels, including what enemies you'll face, weapons you can obtain, and other strategies to survive the trials ahead.
Note that rooms unlock in sets. After a set is cleared, you'll be able to start with the next set and you won't have to return to the previous one.
All items you collect will reset once you start a new set. The following levels are fairly easy and introductory into the gauntlet that is the Trial of the Sword.
This set consists of 12 levels. General Strategies - While you can try to sneak up on the Bokoblins before they draw their weapons, for best results, try to climb the tree directly before the campfire, and throw the circular bomb between all three.
Not only will you finish this battle without taking any damage the Bokoblins will become curious and actually move toward the bomb as it rollsbut this tree will have at least two eggs in it for you to cook or eat. Grab the weapons, and use the axe to open the boxes and barrels. Drop the food into the fire, especially the eggs which yield one and a half hearts each time, provided you can do so without breaking the eggs.
If you feel like it, you may also want to use the square bomb to blast trees and collect one korok leaf as well as some wood. You'll need this later. General Strategies - There are two lookouts here who will alert the others if they spot you - including the lone Bokokblin on a tower near the fort. Defeat the tower Bokoblin first, then collect some arrows.
To get up on the fort, don't waste arrows on the drawbridge - kill the Red Chuchu to light the grass on fire and paraglide up to the fort - or climb a nearby tree and glide down. Be sure to blow up the crates and barrels for more supplies and arrows. Additionally, allow the archers to continue to shoot arrows your way, then pick them up off the ground for yourself.
